I live Natchitoches Louisiana and I am friends with a lady who has a son that is a diabetic...I know very little of this disease but would like to know if we could have some one to come and speak with the community on this subject...there are quite a few children as well as elderly that are diabetics.
I am involved with the Relay For Life from the American Cancer Society and I would like to get something started here for our diabetic friends and famalies.
What would you suggest...my friend is burned out and we need a support group here for these folks.
There has been no response from anyone in Shreveport, Louisiana and there should be no reason why people here should have to travel 70 miles out of their community for support.
Open for suggestions
